My SATC Moment

My first Friday night in the city was a very low key one. After work I came back home to rest a bit and change. I then met up with Zoe at Revel in the meatpacking district it was packed but I LOVED the vibe of it. After Revel we walked to Vegetarian Paradise 2 on 4th street by Washington square my favorite place in the city thus far. The walk from the meatpacking district was amazing, the weather was great and It was a chance to sight see. I was in love with the neighborhoods we walked through and had to stop at a stoop and have a  SATC moment, I felt like Carrie B. in the NYc night summer.

Adventures to the Westway..

After Our second day in the city Zoe and I ventured back out to the amazing photographer Elizabeth Raab's birthday party at the Westway. Before taking a subway and cab over we got some AMAZING food at Maoz vegetarian, which just happens to be close enough to Conde Nast for lunchtime goodness. We took the subway to Chritopher st and throught the week we kept finding ourselves ending up in that neigborhhod which I loved. Before we took a cab to the Westway zoe and I stopped at this cute place on the corner, which I am now blanking on the name of. We got to the party at 11 and by 12 the whole place was packed. The Westway used to be a gentleman's club and was reopened as a bar/night club. It was full of fashionable hipsters and great music here are some pictures form the night.

Day 2

The second day I was in NYC was last Tuesday. Zoe and I decided to go and explore the city before we went to her friends Elizabeths birthday at the Westway. We walked the city and also figured out how to get to conde Nast ( my internship location) from port authority.

New York ..

Well I made it ! I arrived in NYC last night at 4 pm and have all ready experienced amazing things upon arrival. Trying to lug 4 suitcases around from JFK to the City was an experience all in its own and thankfully I had my friend form Spokane to help me along the way ( Amazing friend = Zoe that did my new haircut and color). After getting into port authority we met up with my beautiful friend Charlotte who I am staying with here. Charlotte is a model and had a shoot in Williamsburg at 9pm so we rushed to her apt to drop everything off only to rush back out to take the ferry across the Hudson. From the ferry we took a taxi to Midtown Whole Foods to grab dinner to eat at the shoot. The city, though humid and hot even at 8, was so full of life. I grabbed an amazing array of vegan delights from the dinner bar and we were off. As we stepped off the L to Williamsburg there was no one over the age of 30 in sight. Everyone was young and hip and though this was a new place I found security in the fact that everyone looked so comfortable. After walking to the photographers apartment they began to shoot immediately. Zoe and I viewed the genius that is my bestie Charlotte on the streets of Brooklyn. It was so much fun exploring Brooklyn at night and seeing the eclectickness that is Williamsburg. I start my internship on Thursday so today and wednesday are explore days. More photos to come
